Hardware Associates

The Brief

Hardware Associates, Dell Spares Specialists based in Petworth, asked Mzuri Design to create a 10 year anniversary logo for them and apply this to promotional products to send to their clients. We were also asked to create a set of templated documents for their new clients as well as creating a regular email newsletter for their current customers. In 2011 Hardware commissioned Mzuri to create a website for them incorporating a new ecommerce area for basic components alongside their core business model of providing one to one advice to their customers.

The Solution

Looking at their target clients we decided to produce a mug and coaster set featuring the logo so that their brand would sit in front of potential customers on a daily basis. The coaster produced was also a jigsaw so we broke this up and put it inside the mug before sending to clients so that they had to make it when they received it; further emphasising the company name in their mind.

The Hardware Associates email newsletter was created as another way of reminding clients that they were there when they needed them as they never knew when a potential client may need a Dell part. This is now sent regularly and the sales team use the reports generated by the system we set up to follow up on potential clients by seeing who opened the email, clicked on links, what they clicked on and how many times.

In building the new website we integrated their current database and systems on to a new design, to promote the customer service angle to their users; call us, live chat with us or search for a part online. We also added an ecommerce area to the site which allows customer who need a basic part for their computer such as keyboards or screens to buy online, confidently and securely.

We also work with Hardware Associates on producing various print items including branded Christmas cards, with co-ordinating envelopes, and business stationery including business card, letterhead and compliment slip.
