Wendy Richards Art
The Brief
Wendy, a talented local artist wanted to market her original oil paintings and drawings in the local area and also to sell her works online to an international audience.
The Solution
We provided Wendy with marketing advice and using our experience in the arts provided her with a strategy to develop her business on and offline. Firstly we designed a logo for the business and then created a set of 4 postcards to illustrate the different styles of her work as well as the range of subject matter. The postcards which included a biography about Wendy and all her contact details could be used to promote the business at art fairs, local events and exhibitions as well as a compliment slip for Wendy to write on and send out to clients.
We then designed and developed a fully content managed e-commerce website. Not only can Wendy update the images, prices, news stories and links herself, the content management system also allows Wendy to add search engine optimisation elements to improve visibility of her site. Following a very successful launch of the site we worked with Wendy to create a Pay Per Click campaign using Google Adwords to increase traffic during the run up to Christmas. This campaign resulted in Wendy receiving both sales and commissions.
The Feedback
"I have worked with Mzuri Design on developing my website so I can sell my original paintings online. Mzuri took the time to talk to me and understand the business working out the type of clients I was looking for, this then lead to the style of my logo and postcards as well as the website itself. I am delighted with the results and very excited this week as we have sold our first picture on line to a complete stranger, it shows the site and the adwords are working, so its fab fab fab!"
