Orelia

The Brief

Orelia was founded by Louisa Hirst and Collette Flood, both of whom had successful careers as fashion buyers before going it alone. The company sells worldwide on their website a wide range of jewellery, hair accessories, and bags, as well as through their concessions within national Top Shop stores, and other independent retailers in the UK.

In addition, a sister company – Gypsy & Pearl – was launched in 2010.

We were approached to provide marketing support alongside graphic design for promotional pieces and business stationery. In addition, Orelia felt that their existing website was not performing as they had hoped; with a strong desire to increase web sales, they asked Mzuri to assist with designing and developing a new e-commerce site.

The Solution

We worked closely with Orelia to design and develop a new e-commerce website, as well as numerous print projects.

The new site is backed up by a user-friendly content management (CMS) system, which enables the company to make changes quickly and easily, e.g. to update stock levels, add new items etc. The inclusion of social media links means that Orelia is now able to communicate quickly and regularly with customers as well as increasing their Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Mzuri also provides specific ongoing SEO services, to ensure that the website is returned in as many relevant searches as possible. Mzuri is responsible for producing Orelia’s branded email weekly newsletters which include links back to the website; these are all tracked via Google Analytics to show ROI.

On the print and branding side, Mzuri designed and sourced pieces including wrapping tissue, stickers and brushed cotton pouches for jewellery. Our remit was then widened to include exhibition stand design for the prestigious Top Drawer exhibition in London.
